The demo includes two missions from the hybrid adventure. The first-person mission, "Chased by T-Rex," has you (as hero Jack Driscoll) fighting off a T. Rex with a rifle while fellow adventurers open a gate. In the third-person mission, "Kong vs. T-Rex," Kong fights a nasty T. Rex; swings through the jungle chasing love object Ann; smashes little dinos with a giant log; then takes on two prehistoric reptiles at once. In brief, the Driscoll mission is lame, whereas the Kong mission rocks. Battling dinosaurs as Kong mostly requires extreme button-mashing, but we give the developers credit for using the mouse wheel in a fighting game. The graphical style is attractive and immersive, much like a dark, exotic cartoon. The third-person effects while fighting as Kong especially impress. After you've landed on the pair of dinosaurs hassling Ann, try jumping onto a ledge, then slamming back onto the unsuspecting anachronisms. Take that, extinct creatures!
